Solar system on the Forum of the Future — The solar system on the roof of the Forum of the Future was put into operation in summer 2024. This makes the Forum one of the first buildings in Bavaria to successfully install a photovoltaic system despite being a listed building. Photo: Deutsches Museum

Opening of the special exhibition Light and Matter — "100 Years of the Planetarium" was followed by the new special exhibition "Light and Matter" in June 2024. The exhibition was officially opened on 19 June by Director General Wolfgang M. Thin ice, special exhibition at the transport centre — "Thin Ice" is the name of the special exhibition that opened in November at the Transport Centre and was developed by the Stiftung Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin in collaboration with the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research. It focuses on the expedition of the research icebreaker "Polarstern", which drifted through the Arctic Ocean for a year in 2019, docked to an ice floe. Photo: Hubert Czech
