Photo studio
The tasks of the photo studio range from classic photography to digital image processing, from 35mm to large format. Larger exhibits are photographed directly in the exhibition halls, while smaller exhibits are brought to the studio to be photographed under the best lighting conditions. In addition to the studio space, a digital station and a darkroom are also available. The photographers also undertake commissioned work for the Deutsches Museums's picture department.
Depending on the requirements and difficulty, the photos are taken in analogue or digital format. Of course, panorama and large-format cameras are also used for special photos. Images are produced to the highest quality standards, especially for catalogues. New exhibitions and building projects are accompanied photographically from the start of construction to the opening. Photos are taken before each exhibition opening for press work, and selected special events are also documented in a reportage.
