Mechanics workshop

A particular aim of the Deutsches Museum is to present the connections between science and technology to a wide audience in a vivid way. To achieve this goal, there are countless interactive experiments and demonstrations in the museum. These experiments - most of which visitors can carry out themselves - often involve complicated technical apparatus.

Many of these demonstrations or hands-on experiments are built in the mechanical workshop and, in order to meet the most diverse requirements, the mechanical equipment corresponds to that of an experimental workshop.

In the actual workshop room there are lathes, saws and drilling machines. CNC machines for milling and turning are also available for the rapid production of complex workpieces.
