Die Robotik wird in der nahen Zukunft die Fabrikhallen verlassen und sich immer stärker in unser alltägliches Leben einfügen, insbesondere durch humanoide Roboter. In diesem Vortrag werden wir untersuchen, wie Fortschritte in der KI, die zunehmende Verfügbarkeit von Daten und Edge-Computing-Hardware einstige Science-Fiction-Vision Realität werden lassen.
Beginnend mit einer Übersicht über die Robotik und ihrem Marktpotenzial, betrachten wir daraufhin das Roboter-Training und demonstrieren, wie integrierte Hardware und Software die Lücke zwischen Simulation und realer Welt schließen. Schließlich zeigen wir, wie Vision-Language-Action- (VLA-) Modelle eine sinnvolle Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion ermöglichen und zukünftige Anwendungen ermöglichen.
Begleitet wird der Vortrag von einer Live-Demonstration unseres Unitree-G1-Androiden.

Daniel is a consultant at TNG. He has worked as a research scientist, developing algorithms for assisted driving functions. Then in 2024, Daniel played a key role in creating a GenAI application that automates compliance checks for contracts. With over 100 people involved in the project, he served as one of two tech leads, overseeing the implementation strategy. After the product reached general availability at the beginning of 2025, he returned to research, working on foundation models for robots.

In his role as a Partner for TNG Technology Consulting in Munich, Thomas Endres works as an IT consultant. Besides his normal work for the company and the customers he is creating various prototypes - like a telepresence robotics system with which you can see reality through the eyes of a robot, or an Augmented Reality AI that shows the world from the perspective of an artist. He is working on various applications in the fields of AR/VR, AI and gesture control, putting them to use e.g. in autonomous or gesture controlled drones. But he is also involved in other Open Source projects written in Java, C# and all kinds of JavaScript languages.
