The pop-up exhibition invites you to discover the world of raw materials and mining today. It shows where our raw materials come from, how complex their extraction is, and why they are indispensable in our everyday lives. At the same time, it highlights the ecological consequences of mining and encourages us to think about the finiteness of many resources and how we will use them in the future.

At the same time, some sections of the old visitors‘ Mine at the Deutsches Museum can be experienced in VR. The virtual tour gives you an immersive insight into the working world underground in times gone by. The pop-up exhibition also shows how VR technology is bringing the visitors‘ Mine back to life.

VR tour of the old “Mine”, from age 14, registration via list at the Science Communication Lab.
