In this hands-on programme in our DNA visitor laboratory, you will learn more about DNA analysis. During the course, oral mucosa cells are crushed and the DNA is then released using a lysis buffer and proteases, flocculated with alcohol and transferred to a container. Not only can you experience the day-to-day work of researchers in the laboratory, but you will also learn interesting facts about cell biology, heredity and genetic engineering.
The workshop is part of the "100 Years of the Deutsches Museum" programme. Admission to the museum is free on the anniversary weekend 10/11 May 2025.
The workshop will be held in German.
