How do different cell types develop from a stem cell - and what makes them unique? Researchers from Helmholtz Munich's Epigenetics Community are addressing this question in a pop-up exhibition. The interactive exhibition is aimed at young and old - the focus is on direct dialogue with young researchers.

The pop-up exhibition has three thematic areas:

• Basics of cell identity: what do we mean by it? What does this have to do with epigenetics?
• Stem cells and their unique potential: How do the different cell identities develop from a stem cell? Supported by modern AI analyses, the differentiation process can be visualised and also used in medicine.
• Environment and cell function: What influence does the environment have on cell function and identity?
