950 million people worldwide need glasses but cannot afford them. EinDollarBrille (internationally GoodVision) is working to change that, by bringing affordable glasses and professional eye care to underserved communities.
EinDollarBrille goes the 'last mile' by bringing urgently needed eye tests and examinations to populations in remote regions and underserved areas through mobile eye camps. Via educational initiatives and announcements in cooperation with municipalities and local authorities, people are informed about the eye camps and educated on the importance of eye health.
At the Science Communication Lab, the EinDollarBrille team demonstrates how patients go through the eye camp extremely efficiently – thanks also to the specially developed patient app. An eye camp live demo is scheduled at 3 PM.
