New admission rules for the Kids' Kingdom
An extra (free) ticket is required in addition to the museum entrance fee in order to visit the Kids' Kingdom. Three time slots are available.
We are delighted that the Kids' Kingdom is one of the most visited areas on the Museumsinsel! However, the huge popularity of our hands-on exhibition unfortunately has its downsides: on weekends and especially during the holidays, it becomes very crowded and loud. So, in order to ensure a more relaxed atmosphere with less noise and enough space for our younger visitors to play and explore, we have decided to introduce a new admission policy.
This is how a visit to the Kids' Kingdom works with the new rule:
- Book your free tickets for the Kids' Kingdom in addition to paying your museum admission fee. A separate ticket is required for each person, including infants and toddlers.
- Tickets can be booked for three time slots:
- 09.00 to 11.30
- 12.00 to 14.00
- 14.30 to 16.30
- Tickets can be purchased one day in advance in the online shop or at the ticket office or the information desk on the day of your visit.
- Adults only have access to the Kids' Kingdom if they are accompanied by children and at least one child is between 3 and 8 years old.
- This only applies to families and small groups. Groups of 10 children or more must continue to register by telephone and do not need these free tickets.
- Holders of an annual pass or those with museum membership will still need to book a free ticket if they wish to to visit the Kids' Kingdom.
