The introduction of radio over 100 years ago marked the beginning of a new era of communication that would change the way people received information forever. Never before had a medium been able to address "everyone" at the same time. Transmitted by radio signal, the spoken word does not stop at political or geographical borders. It remains a medium that informs, entertains and inspires people of all ages and backgrounds.
At the event, do-it-yourself radio kits will be demonstrated and explained. And last but not least, the "Singing Tesla Transformer" will provide music and good humour via high voltage.
See, hear and experience the fascinating technology that made it possible to receive electromagnetic (radio) waves over long distances back in the day, and which is now ultimately found in every one of our everyday companions - the smartphone - in the form of modern processes.
The demonstration will be held in German.
