The Astronomy Day at the Deutsches Museum is dedicated to the diversity of modern astronomy. Current research topics and basic methods of observing the heavens are presented in lectures, guided tours and observation programmes. Visitors will gain insights into solar observation, astronomical instruments and the scientific exploration of the universe - in a clear, well-founded and practical way.
In good weather, the observing group offers the opportunity to view the surface of our Sun live through specially equipped solar telescopes. From 12 to 4 pm on the terrace on Level 2, accessible via the Astronautics exhibition, weather permitting.
