Bridges and Hydraulic Engineering

During this guided tour, you will learn more about civil engineering structures such as bridges, tunnels, canals, dams and stadium roofs.

  • Adults, Family and children, Young people

Bridges, tunnels, canals, dams and stadium roofs – the list of civil engineering structures is long. However, bridges in particular are seen as the supreme discipline due to their ever-increasing spans. They have to carry enormous forces, need to be built economically and, ideally, should be “beautiful”, too. On this guided tour, you will learn how creative engineers are constantly finding new solutions to this problem – something that has fascinated mankind for thousands of years.
