Highlight Tour now also available in English
Six-month trial: The general Highlight Tour at Deutsches Museum is now available in English every weekend during Oktoberfest.
Planning a visit to the Deutsches Museum and looking for an introduction in English? Over the next six months, we are testing a regular English-language Highlight Tour to welcome our international guests.
During the Oktoberfest period (19 September to 4 October 2026), the 11:30 tour runs in English every Saturday and Sunday. After Oktoberfest, from 10 October 2026 onwards, the English tour takes place every Saturday at 11:30. The afternoon tour at 14:00 will continue to be conducted in German throughout.
The tour is ideal for individual guests and small groups wanting a structured walkthrough of the collection’s primary exhibits. Larger groups can also book separate private English tours as standard.

Our tip for a perfect Oktoberfest weekend
Culture and Tradition: A great way to round off your tour is a visit to the model of a historic Munich brewery in our Agriculture and Nutrition exhibition. From there, you can head straight to the festival grounds on Theresienhöhe—making for an ideal combination of culture and Oktoberfest spirit.
