Advanced search options in the archive: 18 new finding aids now online

Digital research within the archive collections is now even more convenient: 18 new online finding aids have been made available and are ready for research and use. In total, there are now around 180 collections and 111,213 records from the archive available on “Deutsches Museum Digital”.

Among the new additions are significant estates, such as those of Otto Lilienthal (aviation pioneer), Eugen Sänger and Irene Sänger-Bredt (space exploration pioneers), Heinrich Hertz (physicist), Erich von Drygalski and Georg von Neumayer (both polar explorers) and Ludwig Mach (physicist and inventor). Also particularly noteworthy are further sub-collections from the Junders Werke company archive (metalworking and house construction, as well as ‘propaganda’).

The manuscripts, photographs and correspondence from Otto Lilienthal’s estate are even available almost in their entirety for digital use on ‘Deutsches Museum Digital’.
