Physics in Advent

Take part in a new experiment each day. Come to the Historic Aviation exhibition and join us for some tinkering and testing!

Our Advent calendar might not contain any chocolate, but we do have something rather special for our more adventurous visitors:

We bring excitement to the Advent season: until 7 January 2024, we will perform a new, small and simple experiment every day – and reveal the mysteries of “Physics in Advent”, the Advent calendar of the German Physical Society in cooperation with the University of Göttingen. Come along and find out how things work!

When will this event take place?

Discover which activities are taking place by checking our daily programme, which is published at around 9.20 each day. Our programme changes daily and includes guided tours, demonstrations, science shows and hands-on activities for individual visitors and small groups of up to five people. All programme events are held in German. They begin either directly where the activity is set to take place or at a guided-tour meeting point in the relevant exhibition.
