BIOTEXFUTURE: The future of the textile value chain
Our next special exhibition – from August, only at the Future Museum!
From August 7 to September 14, 2025, the BMBF-funded innovation space BIOTEXFUTUREpresents the exhibition “BIOTEXFUTURE: Futures of the Textile Value Chain” in the Forum of the Future Museum Nuremberg – a showcase of bio-based textile research and material-driven innovation.
Designed by the WINT Design Lab, the exhibition offers insights into 20 pioneering approaches from research and industry, structured into four thematic zones: from alternative raw materials to circular systems and cell-based biofabrication. Visitors can explore bio-based high-tech textiles and innovative materials that open up new perspectives on the future of textiles.
BIOTEXFUTURE, led by adidas and RWTH Aachen University, collaborates with partners from science and industry to fundamentally rethink the textile value chain – aiming for sustainability, a bioeconomy approach, and long-term innovation. The innovation space advocates for the transition from fossil-based to bio-based resources within the textile industry.
