"Festival der Zukunft" on the Museumsinsel

The "Festival der Zukunft" - the Festival of the Future - together with the 1E9 Community: On 4 and 5 July 2026, a festival will be celebrated across the entire Museumsinsel. From 2 to 3 July 2026, there will be an international future conference in the "Forum der Zukunft".

From AI to space travel, from XR experience to art performance, from robotics to life science: from 2 to 5 July, the Festival der Zukunft 2026 will be all about ideas, technologies and innovations that can make tomorrow a better place.

Growing Up – the fifth Festival der Zukunft on Museumsinsel

People, technology, innovations: From 3 to 5 July, the Deutsches Museum and 1E9 are once again inviting visitors to the big ‘Festival der Zukunft’ on Museumsinsel. In the Forum der Zukunft at Ludwigsbrücke and along Uferstraße, there will be lectures, workshops, exhibitions and numerous hands-on activities focusing on forward-looking ideas and inventions for a better world tomorrow. On 2 and 3 July, a specialist conference will provide a platform for future experts, and on 4 and 5 July, the festival will become a big family event.

Free admission for all

Family days on 4 and 5 July

This weekend, the Festival der Zukunft invites you to the Museumsinsel with free admission. Visitors can expect a varied programme with hands-on activities, a street festival, a scavenger hunt and an interactive exhibition on future technologies, virtual reality and art. There will be talks by well-known personalities on stage. Munich research institutions will present exciting talks and activities on artificial intelligence and future energy in the Posthof.
